The first generation of Jiangling KaRui was launched in 2008 and officially went on sale in 2009. Its upgraded version, KaRui 800, was introduced in 2013, followed by the heavy-duty version KaRui Heavy-Duty King Kong in 2018, which continues to undergo iterative updates. It is a wide-bodied light truck jointly developed by Jiangling, Ford of the United States, and Isuzu of Japan, primarily targeting urban logistics and transportation. It combines the fuel efficiency and durability of Japanese light trucks with the load-bearing capacity of European light trucks.
