I wrote this book because narcissism is one of those things that a lot of people experience but very few can put into words. We hear the word thrown around casually, sometimes about a vain friend or a difficult boss. But actual narcissism is something else entirely. It is quieter in some ways, and louder in others. It gets under your skin in a way that is hard to explain to people who have not lived it.
